Biography of Sister Mary Ikechukwu Amadi

Sister Mary Ikechukwu Amadi is a polyvalent health practitioner and educator. She is from Egede in Udi L.G.A Enugu State. She was born in 1944 to Ezinna and Ezinne Paul and Cecelia Amadiasonwu.

Qualification as a nurse from University Teaching Hospital Elum Park Dublin 4 IRland, and Midwifery from University Teaching Hospital Manchester in UK, 1979 and 1982 respectively. Sister had various clinical experiences from many hospitals she had worked before, she was transferred to the school system to teach as a clinical instructor. She had taught in both School of Nursing and Midwifery before she went for further studies in Midwifery at the Federal College of Education Kaduna, ever since 1991 she had been an examiner and examination script marker to the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. She has participated and presented papers in conferences, workshops and Seminars.

Sister Mary Ikechukwu hold a B.Sc degree (Health Education) and Med degree in Education Administration and Planning both from University of Nigeria Nsukka.

Sister had worked as Head of Department in many Schools of Nursing and Midwifery in Nigeria and Kenya. Presently she works as the Deputy Director of Nursing Educator at the College of Nursing Sciences Adazi-Nukwu in Aniocha L.G.A in Anambra State.
